ASME-BPE Clamp fittings
ASME-BPE (American Society of Mechanical Engineers - BioProcessing Equipment) is an international standard for the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.
ASME BPE fittings standard is derived from the Imperial OD (Outside Diameter) standard, in reference to the British Empire fittings used until the end of the 19th century. The diameter dimension is therefore expressed in inches, from 1" to 4".
ASME-BPE Clamp connection consist of 2 ferrules, a Clamp collar and a gasket in EPDM, Teflon, silicone or VITON®. They are particularly suitable for sterilisation and cleaning requirements.
For more information, see our guide to ASME-BPE fittings.
Our range of ASME-BPE ferrules and plugs are manufactured from 316L stainless steel, with a controlled sulphur content of between 0.005% and 0.017%, for optimum weld quality. The surfaces of the parts are mechanically polished or electropolished, which eliminates crevices and facilitates cleaning. All our ASME BPE parts have a surface finish of Ra < 0.8 µ (SF3).
