DIN fittings
The DIN standard, administered by the Deutsches Institut Normung, provides several specifications for stainless steel pipes and fittings used in industry.
Among the standards used in the food industry are DIN 11851 (hygienic fittings) and DIN 11864-1/11853-1 (aseptic fittings), DIN 11864-2/11853-2 (flange connections) and DIN 11864-3/11853-3 (Clamp fittings).
DIN 11851 fittings use a semi-toric seal, DIN 11864-1 Form A uses an O-ring and DIN 11854-1 Form B uses a square-section seal.
All fittings meeting these standards are characterised by ease of access and cleaning. The gasket is completely encased by the metal, which is polished to prevent crevices where micro-organisms can lodge.
We offer a full range of DIN fittings in 316L or 316 stainless steel, from DN 10 to DN 100.
